Trumbull Nature and Arts Center is offering a more robust calendar of programs than normal with some exciting additions including child and adult sewing classes and free child/family programs being run by a new student led group from the high school -- Student Leadership in Environment, Culture, and Art. They also offer field trip opportunities for grades 1 - 3 which they align to the curriculum, and are working to expand their offerings of scouting badges. Go to www.ftparents.com for more information.
Frenchtown Families – we have just added 2 articles on Bullying and Cyberbullying.
Parents: Please visit here to complete the volunteer safety check for Trumbull Public Schools. You CANNOT chaperone a field trip if you have not completed this.

First Grade plants a white dogwood on Friday, October 4.
The Trumbull Garden Club purchased the tree and arranged the ceremony.
We are participating in the Stop and Shop A+ Program again this year. Sign up here. Our school ID is 06238.
SHOP RITE - enroll your Shop Rite Plus Card and help our school earn FREE educational equipment every time your shop. Get more info here.
Security Procedures - Continuing our security procedures this year, we will need a copy of your driver’s license for us to provide you with an identification pass. You will show this when you ring the bell to enter the school or at early dismissal in the cafeteria.
Please send your copy to the attention of Mrs. Mizzoni or Mrs. Weiss in the Main Office. These passes will increase our efficiency and security.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Dismissal Procedure - Parents will park in the back parking lot and line up by cafeteria door # 9. As you enter the building you will receive a pick-up identification dismissal pass (bright pink). You will show this to the person on duty as you approach your child(ren) and/or as you sign out in the dismissal book. Children are to remain seated until you approach them. You will exit the building through door # 10. We feel this procedure will make pick up safer for all concerned and allow for an earlier dismissal. Thanking you in advance for your cooperation and support with these new safety procedures.
REMINDER: All student absences are to be called into
the nurse at 203-452-4228 as the absentee line is
no longer available.
Each absence from school requires
both a phone
call to the school
on the day of the absence and a
note the day the child returns to
school for the child’s file. If a child is absent for more
a note is needed from the child’s physician.
